Wim Velleman (VBV777)
1939-2017

On August 5, 2017, the CEO of V-Bird VA received the message that Wim Velleman was forced by a serious illness to stop his Flight Simulation hobby as a member of V-Bird VA. Immediately all V-Bird VA staff members were informed of the situation. The reactions of the staff members to the profound message were those of defeat that Wim, as a member of V-Bird VA, was forced to end a good hobby as flight simulation due to illness.
On Monday, 28 August 2017, V-Bird VA staff members received the following message:

Just a last message before I become a silent pilot. You know I have lung cancer with dischages to the liver and that there is no way to do anything about it.  I ultimately consciously chose life termination by Euthanasia. That will take place next week.
I would like to bring a last greeting to my fellow pilots and people I know within VBird. Take care and with this I end my membership of VBird
VBV777 – Wim Velleman

The staff and all the V-Bird VA pilots hope that Wim has made a good last flight in peace and wishes all family members a lot of strength to be able to bear the miss.

On September 4, 2017 Wim left for his final journey.
