On February 15, 2021, we received the message via the internal V-Bird mail from Hans Hoogendoorn his son that his father had died on February 13, 2021. Hans had put himself on OnLeave a week before because of illness, but no one knew how serious it was.
The news of Hans his death came as a surprise.
Hans was already a member of V-Bird before May 2011 when we started using the current registration program and flew his flights on IVAO. Hans has made a total of 7,066 flights for the VA with a total of just over 17093 hours.
Hans left for his final journey on Februari 13, 2021.
